 Baccarat Table
The heart of the game of baccarat is the table it is played on. It would be very difficult to play the game without the table, yet there is so much fun to be had on a full size baccarat table. We’ll take a look at the two most popular forms of baccarat.
Full Baccarat Table
There are few differences between full baccarat and mini baccarat. The main two differences are the size of your bankroll and the layout of the table. You’ll usually find the full table in an area of the casino separated from the other games and most of the casino patrons. This is a special area of the casino for high rollers only. You’ll find minimums at these tables to be about $50 to $100 per hand with limits as high as $100 000 or more.
 The full baccarat table is an oval shape hand has a green felt that shows the player’s positions, usually up to 15. The 13th place is avoided on purpose for superstition reasons. In some Asian cultures, the fourth position is also skipped because in some cultures four is considered unlucky and is closely related to the word for death. Baccarat is a number one choice casino game among Asians worldwide.
The baccarat table has a semi circle cut out in the middle on one side which is where the dealer stands. This position is referred to as the “caller’s place”. They are the official of the game and call out cards and hands as they are shown, announce the winner and manage the game.
There is an area directly opposite of the rack of cheques laid in the table consisting of a number of squares numbered 1 to 15. This area helps the dealers to keep track of the 5% house commission on winning banker bests.
When a player sits down at one of the marked spots is a row for the player to bet on banker and a row to bet on banker. There is also a third option to bet on a tie. The dealer that is behind the cheques will take all the losing bets, paying the winners and keep track of commissions for each player.
Mini Baccarat Table
 The mini baccarat tables will likely appeal to casino players, and especially those who play blackjack. The mini baccarat table is a half circle with room for about 6 or 7 players each with a betting area similar to a full baccarat table. The player/banker/tie betting areas are in the same place right above the player’s position and the dealer sits in the middle of the tale. The limits in a mini baccarat game are as low as $2 - $500, $5 - $2000 or $25 - $5000.
